Aterro do Flamengo

Parque Lage

Jardim Zoologico

Maracanã

Arcos da Lapa

Forte de Copacabana
In 1908, during the administration of President Afonso Pena launched the cornerstone of what today is known as Copacabana Fort. For the construction of this fort, was demolished in small church of Nossa Senhora de Copacabana, which gave the name of the neighborhood. Construction took six years (1908-1914) and was occupied by six batteries of artillery. The most remarkable story of the fort was the Movement Lieutenants, occurred in 1922.
