Barra da Tijuca Beach
Located in Barra da Tijuca, along Av Sernambetiba, Praia da Barra da Tijuca is the main beach, and holds the title of longest beach in Rio de Janeiro with almost 18 km long. From the stretch of Avenida Ayrton Senna, the beach is an environmentally protected area, and is possible to make a nice walk by the Marapendi Reserve.
The beach of Barra da Tijuca is characterized by its white sand, green and clear water, and pretty locations with waves due to strong winds. Despite all the beach is a great attraction, there is a stretch hottest, known as Pepe Beach, which attracts mainly young people.
